Opinion Post Conditions

 

                               1. An excellent basic rule-of-thumb to follow is: Prioritize Accuracy, Propriety, and Legality. Take a 

                               moment to consider what you’re saying before you say it. The minute you publish anything online,

                               you lose all control over it. Make sure to double-check and take time to reflect on what you want 

                               to express. Respond right away when making errors.

 

                               2. Group Focus (Relevancy and Format) 

                               Your comments should be related to the topic at hand rather than stray or detract

                                from the subject matter. To this end, we have the following format requirements:

                               •  Stay on topic - Do not mislead conversations/topics by posting unrelated subjects 

                               •  Proper tone - Do not write in ALL CAPS (shouting), and also avoid any profanity

                               •  No trolling - Avoid intentionally writing wild posts simply to trigger arguments

 

                               3. No Tolerance for Harassment/Hate Speech 

                               Always be civil to others. In addition to other rules and guidelines, we will never allow:

                               •  Hate speech - Racially/sexually/gender/religiously/nationalistically degrading comments/speech

                               •  Personal attacks - Bullying/name calling/harassing specific targeted people

                               •  Threats - Promoting violence/lawlessness etc.                                                                                                                                            

                               •  Basically anything that degrades a group of people is not tolerated

 

                               4. Spam/Self Promotion 

                               Comment section was designed for discussion-not advertising. Thus, the following is prohibited: 

                               •  Promotional products - Posting unsolicited links to your any blog, website, affiliation etc. 

                               •  Bot activity - Spamming with multiple fake accounts/bots etc. 

                               •  Link dumping - Sharing too many links to previous posts without adding positively to the 

                                    ongoing conversation                             

 

                               5. Privacy and Security

                               In addition to our Privacy policy, we protect your personal/intellectual property rights as follows: 

                               •  No doxing - Never share someone’s personal contact info/address/private letters/email etc. 

                               •  Copyrighted material - Do not post any copyrighted material/text/images/artwork etc. unless

                                     given express consent

                               •  Explicit content - Posts containing explicit sexual content/graphic violence are prohibited

 

                                VIOLATION REPORTING

                                 During instances of absent Moderators, please report any uncooperative conduct violators  

                                 under the following circumstances: Violators who don't abide by OP conduct rules after     

                                 being warned once, and they repeat the action again (or several times afterwards), help    

                                 keep the space clean by reporting them using these guidelines: Complete the Feedback

                                 form by entering your first name with your Display Name used in OP forum, and also give

                                 Display Name (handle identifier name) of the violator. If there are several rule breachers,

                                 separate all by filling out and sending multiple messages for each.
